Doors to the ballroom will open at 6 p.m. While this is not a black tie event, we do encourage you to have fun and dress for a star studded evening! Please take advantage of the free valet parking at the entrance of the hotel. When you arrive you will be greeted by our photographer who will take a picture to commemorate the evening on our red carpet. Once you enter the ballroom you will be treated to a beautiful cocktail reception that will include:
- Two cocktails
- International & Domestic Cheese Display: Chef’s choice of selection of fine cheeses, mixed roasted nuts, dried fruits, and assorted gourmet crackers
- Farmers Market Crudite: Cut seasonal vegetables including cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, celery, red peppers, asparagus, cucumbers, mixed cherry tomatoes and radishes served with creamy ranch drip and hummus
Dinner will be served at approximately 6:30 p.m. All dinners are plated and will be served at your table. Coffee, tea, and soft beverages are all included with your dinner.

Jens and friends will take the stage at 7 p.m. Your star-studded concert line up includes:
Jens Lindemann is one of the most celebrated soloists in his instrument’s history. Mr. Lindemann, professor of trumpet at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, was named to the Order of Canada for his skill as a world-renowned trumpet soloist. Lindemann, a native of Edmonton, Canada, is the first classical trumpet player to receive this honor, which is the highest award given by the government of Canada to citizens deemed outstanding in their fields. Lindemann has performed in every major concert venue in the world in a career that has included appearing in London as an orchestral soloists in “Last Night of the Proms”, recording with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, playing lead trumpet with the renowned Canadian Brass, and giving a Royal Command Performance for Queen Elizabeth. Recently named International Brass Personality of the Year by Brass Herald, Lindemann won the prestigious Echo Klassik in Germany and has received Grammy and Juno nominations.
Keith Hall spent 8 years in New York City where he played drums on Broadway’s “Lion King” and has performed with Betty Carter, Wycliffe Gordon, Sir Roland Hanna, Joe Lovano, Wynton Marsalis, Michael Phillip Mossman, Luciana Souza, Terrell Stafford, Joe Wilder and Steve Wilson. Keith holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Jazz Studies from Western Michigan University and Queens College in New York. Keith is active in schools around Michigan as he presents educational programs to students of all ages.
Edye Evans Hyde was named West Michigan Jazz Society’s Musician of the year in 2011. She has been singing jazz, blues and pop music for over 30 years in Michigan, Los Angeles, Asia, and Europe. Over the years Edye has shared the stage with world-renowned blues singer Linda Hopkins, pop singer Michael Bolton, vocalist Maria Muldaur, actress Connie Stevens, the late Ray Charles, and Cuban trumpet star Arturo Sandoval. Ms. Hyde has also appeared on numerous television and film productions.
Terry Lower was voted by the West Michigan Jazz Society as their 2016 Musician of the Year. Mr. Lower is a virtuoso jazz pianist with his own sound. Mr. Lower has played two jazz tours in Italy with vocalists Betty Joplin and Edye Evans Hyde. While he has been a greatly in-demand sideman, working with such artists as Benny Golson, Frank Morgan, David “Fathead” Newman and Kevin Mahogany, it is at the head of his own trio and quintet that Terry’s playing and writing are best showcased.
